The History
FBC Manby Bowdler Solicitors was created on 1st May 2008 when recognised Wolverhampton law firms fbc solicitors and Manby Steward Bowdler LLP merged to create a full service legal firm based in the West Midlands and Shropshire.
Both merged firms are steeped in history and have established Black Country and Shropshire roots stemming hundreds of years. fbc solicitors (formerly Foster Baxter Cooksey) was formed in 1978 by the merger of 3 local West Midlands firms who had been established for over a century. Manby Steward Bowdler LLP was formed on 1st May 2007 when Manby & Steward LLP and Bowdlers Solicitors in Shrewsbury merged. Manby & Steward was originally founded in 1826 by W Manby and for a time its Head Office was located in the Mander Centre in Wolverhampton centre whilst Bowdlers was originally founded in 1976 by Mr John Bowdler.
