Originally from Bridgnorth, Philip Cowell completed his legal education at Chester Law School. After qualifying as a solicitor in 1991 he joined the Firm in 1997 and became a Partner in 2004.

Philip specialises in divorce and other family matters. Philip has particular expertise dealing with the financial aspect of the breakdown of relationships, including particularly high value financial settlements, where there may be complex business issues, including farming cases.

Philip also has a keen interest and expertise in claims made for financial provision out of a deceased's estates and probate disputes.

Philip's work continues to recognised and recommended in the Legal 500 Directory. He is noted for being "clear and concise" and someone who "develops creative strategies".

Philip is a former County tennis player and keen golfer.
