Qualifying as a solicitor in 1981, Steven Corfield trained in general practice in Wolverhampton before moving to the former Telford Development Corporation where he specialised in Commercial Property for 4 years. Following this he worked for 2 years in the Commercial Property section of the National Westminster Bank PLC Legal Department where he dealt with a national portfolio of work, before joining the Firm in 1988. He was made a Partner in 1992.
Steven specialises in Commercial Property matters and development of the firm's existing Agricultural Property and Rural Estate Portfolio. In 1994 he became Head of the Firm's Agricultural Law section where he continues to offer a wide range of advice on all property related matters with an agricultural bias.
Steven grew up on a family farm and has recently become a Fellow of the Agricultural Law Association, the highest specialist qualification which the organisation can grant. Steven has acted as a solicitor for the Crown Estate since 1994 and has dealt with a broad range of commercial and agricultural transactions including sites of special historic and national interest.
Steven is currently a Bridgnorth Tennis Club Trustee and past captain, as well as a Trustee of Bridgnorth Golf Club. He is also keen on horse racing, and has built up an equine side to his legal practice acting for a number of trainers.
