Career development

Many graduates are sometimes unsure as to whether being a solicitor is the right career choice for them.  Here at FBC Manby Bowdler, should a candidate meet certain criteria, there may be an opportunity to gain experience of life in a legal office as a paralegal for a period of time, before a training choice is made. 

Please note we are not accepting any further training contract applications for 2013.

Paralegal

The paralegal role is all encompassing, the majority of time is spent providing administrative support within a department, but  this role would also provide the opportunity to assist legal staff in liaison with clients, the drafting of documentation and co-ordination of the various matters or transactions within a department.  We employ many paralegals in each of our specialist departments across the firm; it's a very important role at this practice.

Legal Executive / Licensed Conveyancer

We employ many legal executives and specialist licensed conveyancers, all qualified lawyers, who perhaps have chosen to specialise in a particular area of law.  Many have gained their qualifications whilst working in a paralegal capacity within the firm.
