Train with us
Like most legal firms we have an annual intake of trainee solicitors each September. The training contracts are filled eighteen months in advance; the cut-off date being the 31st January each year for a contract commencing in the September of the following year.
Applications for training contracts should be made by CV and covering letter to our HR Department - firstname.lastname@example.org
Please note we are not accepting any further training contract applications for 2013.
What we expect
We are looking for candidates with A-C grades at GCSE and a minimum B:B:C at A Level, as well as a 1st or 2:1 degree. We also welcome applications from people who are changing their career to law who have come from other backgrounds, but who can bring additional commercial skills to the Firm.
Ideally you need to have the following:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to be able to build good relationships with people
- A common sense approach and analytical problem solving skills
- Plenty of adaptability, enthusiasm, energy and ambition
- Confidence to get the job done and take ownership of challenges presented to you
Commercial and business focus
You should be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in business and working in a commercial law environment. Commercial work experience gained during vacation from University or a previous career is also very valuable.
