How does it work?
From a member firm's perspective: If you have a client who needs expertise that you do not have, we can help you to help your client. You can choose how that help is enlisted - we can support you in work that you lead, or you can pass the client to us so that we contract with them for that case. The scheme is flexible and will work to suit you. Either way, the aim is to help you keep that client. You receive a written non-poaching agreement. Moreover, by working with us in this way, you receive a range of benefits, including:
- A very wide range of services to offer to your clients.
- Client retention is improved - Connect2Law is designed to help you to keep your clients. You should need never to send a client away again.
- A share of the fees we receive, provided the case is not publicly funded.
- A CPD seminar programme each year, at discounted rates, which all of your lawyers can attend.
- Access to the CostController buying group, where lower prices can be accessed in areas as diverse as stationery, office equipment and utilities. Through the power of bulk purchasing, CostController can save members in the region of 20% on core overheads in areas such as utilities, IT, stationery, insurance and a great deal more.
- Promotional/marketing materials, which promote the worktypes that you do as well as those that are available as a result of your Connect2Law membership.
- Professional indemnity benefits.

- Opportunities for us to refer cases out to member firms, either because we do not have the expertise, funding is required or indeed for geographical reasons.
From the perspective of a member firm's client: Your clients can access all the specialist departments of a major regional law firm, and also all those (at home and abroad) of the very many firms that now make up Connect2law, through you, their local, trusted law firm.
From our perspective: You can refer cases that you can't deal with to us. We earn fees. To encourage firms like you to join Connect2Law and to refer cases to us, we offer a range of benefits to you, our member firms.
Connect2Law is free to join and free to leave with no membership fee. There are no obligations, tie-ins or notice periods and the network operates with a clear 'non-poaching' agreement.
