Charlotte graduated with a 2:1 (Hons) Law Degree from the University of Liverpool in 2005. She went on to complete the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Birmingham, achieving Distinction. Charlotte joined the Firm as a Trainee Solicitor in 2006, qualified as a Solicitor in the Commercial Litigation Department in 2009 and became a Partner in April 2016.
With a particular bias towards commercial and contractual disputes and contentious intellectual property, technology and media law disputes, Charlotte handles the Firm's Intellectual Property, Technology & Media Law Group's IP litigation at Associate level and also manages a portfolio of IT, software and development companies, most of whom have a national presence. She deals with the Group’s contentious defamation and media law work and is fast developing a specialist niche in that area.
Charlotte is also a key member of the Group advising on trademark infringements which have a criminal aspect. In addition Charlotte is one of the Firm’s lead advisors in respect of regulatory, business crime and motoring offences. She represents clients facing investigation or prosecution by regulatory bodies such as Councils, Fire Authorities, the Health and Safety Executive, the Environment Agency and others, and represents clients before the Magistrates Court.
In 2010 Charlotte won the Alliance 4 the Black Country Junior Professional of the Year accolade, which was awarded at the Black Country Chamber's Annual Awards Dinner in September. In 2011 Charlotte was short listed in the Junior Lawyer of the Year category of The Law Society Excellence Awards. In addition Charlotte also served 5 years as Social Secretary of Wolverhampton Law Society.
