Stuart obtained an LLB (Hons) Law Degree from the University of the West of England in 1986. Stuart qualified as a Solicitor in 1989 after completing his training in London. After qualification, Stuart spent 4 years teaching in Japan before returning to the UK and joining Manby & Steward in 1994. Stuart was made a Partner in 1999.
Stuart heads up the Firm’s Corporate Team in Shropshire and provides corporate and commercial services for large and small businesses in the Shropshire area. Stuart has applied his wider commercial experience to his knowledge of intellectual property (IP) and is also Head of the Firm's Intellectual Property, Technology and Media Law Group advising on a range of IP, IT and Media matters. In addition Stuart heads the Firm’s Charities and Not-For-Profit Team dealing with conversions of unincorporated charities to limited company status, setting up new charities, advising on trading and setting up trading subsidiaries, trustees’ duties and a whole range of charity issues.
