Law Firm Advises on City's Legendary Entertainment Venue- 30/11/2009
Wolverhampton law firm FBC Manby Bowdler has proved its credentials in advising clients involved in the leisure and entertainment business by helping the re-birth of a legendary entertainment venue in the city.
Led by Associate Matthew Lloyd, FBC Manby Bowdler’s commercial property department advised on the legal aspects of the relocation of Wolverhampton’s famous Little Civic to a new venue.
Mr Lloyd represented the Gill family, owners of Amar House in Broad Street, the site of the former C4 nightclub, advising on the lease of the ground floor and basement to Wolverhampton City Council for the Little Civic.
Moving from its old venue in North Street, the Little Civic will continue to host rock concerts, comedy shows and other live entertainment in its new home, which has a floor area of 12,900 sq ft and can hold up to 850 people. The premises are presently being refurbished and are expected to be open in December.
Mr Lloyd said: “This is a good deal for the future of live entertainment in Wolverhampton and for the on-going regeneration of the Broad Street area.”
