FBC Manby Bowdler supports charity hike for Macmillan- 21/06/2010
West Midlands law firm FBC Manby Bowdler LLP has chosen MacMilllan Cancer Support as one of its two corporate charities for the next 12 months, by supporting one of its trainees to take part in an overseas hiking challenge to raise funds.
The law firm, which has offices in Wolverhampton, Shrewsbury, Telford, Bridgnorth and Willenhall, is backing trainee solicitor Adriana Klincova to raise at least £3,500 to take part in a hiking expedition to Peru this Autumn, which will include a visit to the ancient lost Inca city of Machu Pichu. A minimum of £2,275 will go direct to the charity as a donation.
To help reach the target, the firm organised a full day's fundraising which included a dress down day and cake sale.
Miss Klincova, who lives in Ellesmere in Shropshire and graduated with a first class honours degree in law from the University of Wolverhampton, joined FBC Manby Bowdler as a trainee solicitor in September 2009 and is presently part of the firm’s Family Department.
Kim Carr, Managing Partner, said: “We are delighted to take on MacMilllan Cancer Support as one of our main charities for the next year and support Adriana in her endeavours in Peru.”
FBC Manby Bowdler also supports national brain injury charity Headway.
