Step Up for FBC Manby Bowdler Legal Duo- 02/02/2010

Two members of the Wills, Trusts and Estate Planning Department at West Midlands’ law firm FBC Manby Bowdler LLP have been appointed as members of an international organisation for professionals who specialise in tax, trusts and estate planning.

Having passed the three entrance papers, solicitor Maxine Davies and legal executive Tracey Lane have been accepted into STEP, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. This brings the total number of STEP members working for FBC Manby Bowdler to five.

Founded in 1991, STEP brings together all senior practitioners in the field of trusts and estates. It has 11,000 members worldwide, including solicitors, accountants, bankers, financial planners and insurers. Many charities and advice organisations recommend that members of the public should use law firms which have STEP members to draft their wills.

Andrew Vernon, partner and head of the Wills, Trusts and Estate Planning Department at FBC Manby Bowdler said: “Becoming members of STEP confirms Maxine and Tracey’s expertise in providing advice to our clients on drafting wills and establishing trusts which can help them deal with issues such as inheritance tax and other matters of financial planning.”

Mrs Davies and Mrs Lane are both based in FBC Manby Bowdler’s Wolverhampton office.

FBC Manby Bowdler provides specialist advice on inheritance tax, wills, trusts, estates and all other legal matters from its offices in Wolverhampton, Shrewsbury, Telford, Bridgnorth and Willenhall.
