FBC Manby Bowdler Strengthens Corporate Team- 07/12/2009

West Midlands law firm FBC Manby Bowdler LLP has strengthened its corporate department with the appointment of a new solicitor.

Catherine Ratcliffe joins FBC Manby Bowdler’s Wolverhampton office, having completed her training and qualified as a solicitor at Shoosmiths.

A Staffordshire resident, Mrs Ratcliffe took her law degree and Legal Practice Course at the University of Wolverhampton, where she achieved a distinction and won the Prize for Best Commercial Law Student.

At FBC Manby Bowdler, Mrs Ratcliffe will work closely with senior partner and head of the corporate department Gavin Southall, and the firm’s other three corporate partners.

Mr Southall said: “We remain busy with a high volume of corporate work from local and regional clients. We need to continue to hire good people to help us cope with this, so we are pleased that Catherine has joined us.”

Mrs Ratcliffe said: “I was keen to work at a firm that has such a good reputation and broad client base as FBC Manby Bowdler. The firm is local to me and I am delighted to be able to work with local businesses and the local community with which I am already familiar.”

With 36 partners, FBC Manby Bowdler is the fourth largest law firm in the West Midlands. It has offices in Wolverhampton, Shrewsbury, Telford, Bridgnorth and Willenhall.
