FBC Manby Bowdler Helps Save Iconic Black Country Pub- 09/05/2011
West Midlands law firm FBC Manby Bowdler LLP has helped one of the Black Country’s most iconic pub and restaurants stay open and saved 15 jobs.
The firm, which has offices in Wolverhampton, Willenhall, Shrewsbury, Telford and Bridgnorth, advised on the acquisition of the landmark Mad O’Rourkes Pie Factory from administrators PKF.
Corporate solicitor Stuart Downes, and partner in the commercial property department, Matthew Lloyd, advised new owner P&S Pies Limited on its takeover of the pub and restaurant on Hurst Lane, Tipton.

Famous for its huge pies, most notably the 4lb in weight Desperate Dan’s Cow Pie, which comes complete with pastry horns, Mad O’Rourkes Pie Factory has long been a fixture of the Black Country dining experience for tourists and local people alike.
