FBC Manby Bowdler Renews Shropshire Cricket League Sponsorship for Fourth Year- 14/04/2011
Shropshire law firm FBC Manby Bowdler LLP is to sponsor the Shropshire Cricket League for a fourth consecutive year.
The law firm, which has offices in Shrewsbury, Telford and Bridgnorth, will continue to support the seven senior divisions and four junior divisions in the Shropshire Cricket League which is made up of 90 senior and 39 junior teams based at cricket clubs across the county.
“The Shropshire Cricket League is part of the social fabric of the county, providing recreational games for enthusiastic weekend cricketers, but also a vital springboard through to higher level cricket for younger players,” said FBC Manby Bowdler Senior Partner Niall Blackie.
“FBC Manby Bowdler is one of the largest law firms in Shropshire and it is well rooted in the local communities it serves. As part of our commitment to these communities, I am delighted that we are will continue with our sponsorship of an important part of the county’s sporting and social life,” continued Mr Blackie, who is based in FBC Manby Bowdler’s Telford office.
“Following last Winter’s Ashes victory and the exciting, though ultimately disappointing, performance of the England team in the Cricket World Cup, cricket is an increasingly popular sport, so we also hope to help the Shropshire Cricket League encourage even more new players to come forward and take part in the game.

The new League cricket season starts on Saturday 30th April.
