West Midlands’ law firm FBC Manby Bowdler LLP has strengthened its Personal Injury team with the appointment of new solicitor.

Wendy Turner joins FBC Manby Bowdler from Bollin Legal Associates in Birmingham. In her 12 year legal career Mrs Turner has worked for a number of the top Legal 500 Personal Injury firms on both Defendant and Claimant sides, gathering vast experience of all types of personal injury claims, including road traffic accidents, public liability, employer’s liability, occupier’s liability and industrial disease.

Born and bred in Wolverhampton, and now resident in the Compton area of the city, Mrs Turner attended Wolverhampton Girls' High School and obtained her BA (Hons) Law with History degree from Wolverhampton University.

At FBC Manby Bowdler Mrs Turner will join the existing 16 strong Personal Injury team led by partners Tim Gray and Susan Todhunter, and based in the firm’s Willenhall and Wolverhampton offices.

Tim Gray, partner and head of department, said: “Wendy joins us at a busy time following our appointment by the Brain Injury Group to handle all their legal claims in the Wolverhampton, Walsall and Wednesbury areas.”

Mrs Turner said: “As a Wolverhampton woman, I am particularly pleased to join a firm that has such a good reputation in its local communities as FBC Manby Bowdler.”

In the last 12 months FBC Manby Bowdler’s Personal Injury team has secured a number of major settlements for clients who have suffered head injuries, including settlements of £7.7 million and £2.2 million for two pedestrians who suffered head injuries to pay for accommodation and 24-hour care, as well as a £700,000 settlement for a car passenger left wheelchair dependent.

In addition to brain injury claims, FBC Manby Bowdler’s Personal Injury Department also handles claims for injury in road traffic accidents, accidents at work and trips and slips, on a no win, no fee basis.
