FBC Manby Bowdler Advises on Expansion at Jennings Funeral Directors- 29/07/2010

West Midlands’ law firm FBC Manby Bowdler LLP has advised on the expansion of one of the longest established funeral directors in Wolverhampton.

Andrew Wynne, a partner in the Wolverhampton Commercial Property Department at FBC Manby Bowdler, advised Jennings Funeral Directors on the establishment of four new branches in the Wolverhampton area, as part of the company’s strategy to improve its service to people in communities around the city.

Mr Wynne acted for Jennings on all the legal aspects involved in acquiring the leases on new branches in Stafford Road, Oxley, Church Street, Bilston, High Street, Sedgley and High Street in Wednesfield to take the number of Jennings funeral homes to eight, with a staff of some 25 people.

One of the best known funeral directors in Wolverhampton, Jennings was established in 1848 in Union Mill Street and has been in the Jennings family for five generations. Its main funeral home is at St James House in Horseley Field.

“The new branches will help us better serve people in the community, by having even more local access to our services,” says Richard Todd, Northern Operations Manager. “FBC Manby Bowdler has proved to be a key partner in the development of Jennings.”

Mr Wynne said: “It is a pleasure to be involved in the expansion of such a well known and long established Wolverhampton business as Jennings.”
