Motoring Offences
Driving without due care
Easily done - in its lowest form driving without due care can be committed if you inadvertently ‘clip’ another vehicle. This offence is more commonly charged if you turn across the path of an oncoming vehicle.
Driving without due care is sometimes charged as an alternative to using a mobile phone whilst driving, if the Police cannot prove you were actually using your phone. The offence attracts between 3 and 9 points depending on the circumstances.
