Motoring Offences
Fail to stop or report
If you hit another vehicle causing injury to the driver or damage is caused to the vehicle or to an animal (horses, cattle etc) or to any nearby property you need to stop at the scene and, if required to do so, provide your details.
If for some reason you do not provide your details (name and address etc) you need to tell the Police as soon as possible. If you report it within 24 hours but could have reasonably reported sooner you could still face prosecution and this can attract 5 to 10 points.
