Motoring Offences
Speeding
Guidelines exist showing speeds in excess of the permitted limit within which you would not normally be prosecuted. However it is open to the Police to prosecute you even if you are less than a mile over the permitted limit.
Points range from a minimum of 3 to a maximum of 6 depending on speed and circumstances. If you were travelling well in excess of the limit you could be looking at an immediate ban.
