The Team mainly acts for people and businesses making planning proposals. Decisions are made using detailed laws, policies, guidelines and principles and it’s our job to understand them and use powers of persuasion and advocacy to advance your case.
The Team is often instructed by developers and their consultants to appraise planning applications to identify potential policy or other pitfalls and to review documentation, supporting submissions, legal submissions and environmental statements to spot inconsistencies, so as to ensure applications or appeals stand the best chance of success.
The Team also has considerable experience in challenging planning decisions in the High Court and have taken cases to the Court of Appeal and House of Lords (now the Supreme Court).
