Reporting from Subcon 2016
Yesterday, I spent the morning at the Subcon 2016 show.
For those of you that haven't heard of it before, Subcon is 'the UK’s only trade show dedicated to manufacturing supply chains, subcontracting and outsourcing engineering services'. Taking place at the NEC, over 3 days, the hall was packed with over 350 exhibitors.
Having never been before I didn't quite know what expect and was pleasantly surprised by the range of products and services on show, both from UK and international suppliers.
There was a fair amount of networking opportunity as well, and for me it was a great opportunity to meet some clients as well as Made In The Midlands members, of which there were plenty.
There were lots of give-aways and pieces to marvel at as you'd expect, but first prize has to go to Accurate Laser Cutting and their VW BBQ (pictured).
It certainly captured my attention!
