Free seminar aimed at developing local business

19/01/2016

Businesses are being offered the chance to get free economic, legal and financial advice at a seminar in Wolverhampton next month.

Law firm FBC Manby Bowdler has joined forces with Lloyds Bank and Muras Baker Jones Chartered Accountants to host the event at the Business Solutions Centre at Wolverhampton Science Park on February 9.

Experts from each organisation will provide an update on the significant economic, financial and legal issues that will affect businesses in 2016.

Corporate lawyer David Preece will discuss the implications of the Small Business Enterprise and Employment Act 2015 that has seen enforced changes to company administration and reporting requirements.

Jenny Marks, Tax Director from Muras Baker Jones, will speak about the changes to dividend taxation and profit extraction while Rhys Herbert, Senior Economist at Lloyds Bank, will provide an overview of the economic challenges ahead for businesses.

James Sage, Head of Corporate at FBC Manby Bowdler, said: “This is a valuable opportunity for businesses from Wolverhampton and the Black Country to gather information about the key factors that could affect their organisation in 2016.

“The aim is to equip businesses with the knowledge they need to help them grow and prosper this year. We look forward to seeing as many local firms as possible there and we are expecting a high demand for places.”

The seminar opens at 8am for an 8.30am start. Click here to view the full invitation.  Places are limited and booking is essential by contacting Shanice Pearson at marketing@fbcmb.co.uk or 01902 392452.
