Law firm’s Agricultural & Rural Services team receives a boost

Shropshire’s top agricultural and rural services legal team has been strengthened with another member qualifying as a Fellow of the Agricultural Law Association.

Harriet Critchley has become the latest lawyer at FBC Manby Bowdler to gain the badge of excellence after passing advanced training and a written exam.

She joins colleagues Partners Tom Devey, Sarah Baugh and Steven Corfield, who are already Fellows of the Agricultural Law Association (ALA).

The ALA is the UK’s leading independent inter-professional organisation. It provides a forum for professionals serving the agriculture sector and is often consulted by government on legislative and policy changes.

FBC Manby Bowdler’s Agricultural & Rural Services department was the only Shropshire team to receive a top tier ranking in the 2015 Legal 500 guide, which recommends the best law firms and lawyers in the region.

Steven, the Head of Agricultural & Rural Services, was the sole solicitor from the Midlands to be named as a leading individual in the agricultural and estates sector of the guide. He and Sarah were also credited as ‘notable practitioners’ in the 2016 Chambers independent guide.

Steven said: “I am delighted that Harriet has become a Fellow of the ALA. She brings an important skill set to the Agricultural & Rural Services team with her expertise in all aspects of commercial and residential property litigation with an agricultural basis.”

FBC Manby Bowdler has offices in Shrewsbury, Telford and Bridgnorth and can be contacted on 0800 111 6144.
