FBC Manby Bowdler celebrates Best Employer national award
A Midlands law firm has been named as the Best Employer at a national awards ceremony.
FBC Manby Bowdler scooped the title at the British Excellence in Sales Management Awards (BESMAs). The competition is run by the Institute of Sales Management and recognises the cream of sales professionals across the country.
The BESMA awards, the most prestigious awards for the sector, were held at Old Billingsgate, London, on November 9.
The title is the latest in a string of awards that have been picked up by the firm for its commitment to its employees.
It holds a 2-star rating from the employee engagement firm Best Companies, which labelled it as ‘outstanding’ in this year’s rankings.
FBC Manby Bowdler won the Best Place to work category in the Shropshire Star’s 2017 Excellence in Business Awards, the Black Country Chamber of Commerce Excellence in Customer Service last year and was crowned the Wolverhampton Law Society’s Professional Services Firm of the Year 2016.
FBC Manby Bowdler’s Neil Lloyd, who was one of the finalists for the Sales Director of the Year award, said the latest accolade underlined the firm’s on-going commitment to its employees.
“The BESMAs seek to reward the efforts of the individuals and the teams that drive company performance and we are over the moon to have won the national title amid tough competition.
“Our people are our biggest asset and we can only deliver the stellar service and sales that we do by nurturing, supporting and developing them. It’s great to get the external validation of awards like this that we are getting it right.”
FBC Manby Bowdler invests heavily in creating a positive environment for staff to work in including positive health and wellbeing initiatives like its ‘One Green Team’ that promotes environmental improvements, walking groups, pool bikes, running club and a volunteering programme.
It is also committed to fair pay and conditions and operates a benefits package for all employees, career development opportunities, a comprehensive business development programme, recognition awards and a bespoke mentoring scheme.
FBC Manby Bowdler employs more than 200 people at offices in Wolverhampton, Shrewsbury, Telford and Bridgnorth
