Living wills (also known as advance directives or advance decisions) are legal documents that enable you to make decisions in advance about medical treatment. It is a statement that allows you to refuse medical treatment in certain circumstances and it is made at a time that you have the mental and physical capacity to do so.
You may also wish to consider making a Health & Welfare Lasting Power of Attorney to sit along side your living will. You can appoint an attorney to make medical decisions for you if you become incapable of making your own.
We have a dedicated Team of lawyers who specialise in wills and probate and other end of life matters. Many of our lawyers are members of STEP (the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) and have many years' experience of dealing with clients who need advice on preparing for the future and making such personal and emotional decisions.
We pride ourselves on offering a personal service, where we listen to your needs and wishes so that we can ensure that the advice we give is bespoke, always aiming to uncomplicate the legal process involved as much as possible and ensure that you understand at all times the work we are undertaking on your behalf.
If you have an enquiry in relation to making a living will or simply want to speak to a member of our friendly Team for further information and guidance, please use the request a call back or make an enquiry option to get in touch.
