IT User Support

We are looking to boost our IT team with a driven, experienced individual who can hit the ground running and provide fantastic and responsive support to our teams.

Technical/professional expertise required

Minimum of 2-3 years’ relevant IT experience
Associated IT qualification desirable
Proficient with Microsoft and practice management applications

Key accountabilities:

• Monitor and maintain the firm’s computer systems and networks.
• Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications 
• diagnose hardware/software faults and resolve appropriately
• resolve technical and applications problems, via the helpdesk and Spiceworks requests, either over the phone or in person. 
• Ensure a thorough understanding of the firm’s information systems and how they’re used and apply their technical knowledge/expertise appropriately
• troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults;
• replacing parts as required;
• providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports;
• following diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system;
• supporting the roll-out of new applications;
• setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues;
• responding within agreed time limits to call-outs;
• working continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate);
• prioritising and managing many open cases at one time;
• rapidly establishing a good working relationship with customers and other professionals, e.g., software developers;
• testing and evaluating new technology and involvement in specific project work as required
• Only visual checks, official testing via PAT
• This role will from time to time require out of office hours working to ensure downtime and disruption is minimised
