Laura attended the University of Manchester where she successfully obtained her LLB Law Degree in 2006. Laura then went on to complete the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at the College of Law, Birmingham.
Following her studies, Laura joined a Regional Law Firm where she undertook her Training Contract before successfully qualifying as a Solicitor into the Firm's Commercial Litigation Team in 2010, specialising in property disputes. Since 2015 Laura has worked at two international law firms due to their prominence in the Property Litigation arena as both an Associate and Senior Associate.
Laura joined FBC Manby Bowdler in 2022 as a Partner within the Property Litigation Department. Laura specialises in all areas of commercial real estate disputes, acting for a range of clients including UK property companies, banks and building societies, trusts, developers, corporate occupiers and individuals.
Laura's particular areas of expertise include: dilapidation claims, development disputes, property related insolvency, rights of light, landlord and tenant issues including rent arrears, forfeiture, rent review, consent to assignment/alterations, and lease renewal (both opposed and unopposed), Party Wall Act disputes, property related professional negligence, easement and covenant disputes as well as service charge disputes.
Laura is an active member of the Property Litigation Association.
In her spare time, Laura loves city breaks, learning new languages, cycling, and cooking.
