Michelle obtained an LLB (Hons) Law Degree from Coventry University in 2004, before completing the Legal Practice course at the College of Law in Birmingham in 2005. Michelle qualified as a Solicitor in 2007, joined FBC Manby Bowdler in the Wills, Probate & Lifetime Planning Department in 2014 and was appointed a Partner in 2019.
Michelle heads up the Community Care Team specialising in challenging care decisions and reviewing assessments for care and long term planning. Working alongside Professional Deputy Julie Burn, Michelle assists with all aspects of Court of Protection work and also advises on a range of private client related matters including wills, powers of attorney, trusts and estates.
In addition, Michelle is FBCMBs Alzheimers Society Dementia Friends Training Champion which through training, workshops and community engagement Michelle leads efforts to educate colleagues about dementia and challenge perceptions of the condition.
Michelle is recognised as a key lawyer in the leading Legal 500 2022 Directory.
Michelle is a qualified football referee and has a passion for sport. Before her legal career Michelle swam for England and has the t-shirt to prove it!
