Stephen obtained a 2:1 (Hons) LLB Law Degree at the Nottingham Trent University in 1988, before completing his Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School in 1999. Stephen began his training contract at Putsmans Solicitors in Birmingham (now Shakespeare Martineau) and qualified as a Solicitor in 2002. Stephen joined FBC Manby Bowdler as a Partner in the Commercial Property Department in October 2016 having spent 10 years with Higgs & Sons as an Assistant Solicitor and then an Associate.
He specialises in dealing with sales, purchases, refinancing and leases for a wide variety of properties including shops, offices, warehouses, factories, restaurants and care homes. Stephen has specialist knowledge of the property aspects of franchising, regularly representing franchises including restaurants, opticians and mobile phone shops.
Stephen has completed the Long Mynd Hike, a 50 mile walk through the Shropshire Hills, taking place largely at night - he crossed the finish line in 17 hours!
