A member of the FBCMB team is flying high following a daring sky dive in support of a local charity.
Alex Mace, Office Service Assistant at the Firm’s Telford office made an in incredible 13,000ft tandem sky dive yesterday at the Langar Airfield in Nottingham.
Taking the jump with the Red Devils Parachute Regiment Freefall Team, Alex enjoyed the thrill of accelerating from 0-180mph during a 50 second freefall before a five minute canopy ride back to the landing area.
Fundraising for the Midlands Air Ambulance on behalf of FBC Manby Bowdler, Alex raised a grand total of £903.75 through sponsorship from friends, family and colleagues.
Alex said: “The sky dive was absolutely fantastic and all of the guys in the Red Devils are beyond impressive.
“It was an honour to jump with them and they made the whole thing great fun. I’d recommend anyone to do a sky dive at least once in their life as it’s an incredible experience.
“Throwing yourself out of a plane is honestly not as scary as it looks!”
