On the 19th May 2017, Grand Station in Wolverhampton held the annual In-Comm Training Awards. An event that aims to recognise young apprentices from across the Midlands.
With over 250 entries for the various award categories this year, the event celebrated the fantastic work going on in the region to support apprenticeship programmes.
FBC Manby Bowdler Business Support Team Apprentices, Dixie Whitten and Jade Higgins, were both finalists for the "Learner of the Year in a Business Support role".
Dixie said: "When they called my name for the award, I actually didn't believe them at first! Winning the award is a proud moment in my life, however, around the room, I could see people who work just as hard, or even harder who deserve the award as well. Its great to see that apprentices are being recognised for their hard work. Being an apprentice is great, its shown me that you don't have to go to university to be successful and there are firms like FBC Manby Bowdler LLP who offer channels for young people to have a bright future."
Laura Jones, FBCMB’s Marketing Manager, reflected: "We are really proud of Dixie and Jade for their achievements to date. They work extremely hard, continue to improve and have excelled in their roles so far. The accolades they have received from In-Comm truly reflect their successes."
FBCMB prides itself on its people and their development. That is why the Firm offers a comprehensive apprenticeship scheme that aims to help and support young people in the workplace giving them access to a structured learning programme in both a business support and legal role.
Our Apprenticeship application drive has closed for 2017, however, please visit our careers page for more information on the scheme and the application process.
