FBC Manby Bowdler has helped families in need during the pandemic by supporting charities providing food bank services in Shropshire, Worcestershire and Wolverhampton.
Five organisations which have seen demand for their services increase as the economic impact of the coronavirus continued to impact on communities have received donations.
, managing director of FBC Manby Bowdler, said: "Each year we carefully consider what causes and charities we are able to support. Towards the end of 2020, and thanks to the profile-raising work of footballer Marcus Rashford, the issue of families, and children in particular, not having enough food on the table was one we felt strongly about.
"Although we're delighted to have been able to help provide food for families in need, we know that these charities also provide a host of other community support services which are so important at this time.”
The charities receiving donations include: The Well, Wolverhampton; Barnabas Community Projects, Food Bank Plus, in Shrewsbury; Telford Foodbank, part of Telford Crisis Support; The Strettons Foodbank in Church Stretton and Redditch Foodbank at the Trussell Trust.
