FBCMB’s Sarah Baugh was in attendance at a recent EU Debate held by the Shropshire Chamber of Agriculture.
The event, held at Shrewsbury Auction Market, drew a strong crowd from the local farming community and a wide cross section of views on the EU Referendum, which takes place on Thursday 23rd June.
Speakers included local farmer Bruce Udale, Jim Carver MEP who spoke on behalf of the Leave campaign, Martin Haworth, NFU Deputy Director General and Matthew Green, Former MP for Ludlow, who talked for the Remain campaign.
Sarah said: “I would say it was a very well attended event that saw passionate speakers provide insightful and challenging views on the issues to hand not only for farmers but the country as a whole.”
“A lively and thought provoking debate followed which was well worth attending to help make an informed choice about this momentous forthcoming decision.”
One of four fellows in the Agriculture department at FBC Manby Bowdler, Sarah is President of the Staffordshire Committee of the Country Landowner and Business Association (CLA).
Sarah is also approaching the completion of a five year term on the CLA’s National Legal, Parliamentary and Property Rights Sub Committee.
