Carina Kervin, Associate Solicitor in the Wills, Probate and Lifetime Planning team in Shrewsbury has been appointed as regional director for Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE), a national organisation that specialises in older and vulnerable client law.
Carina is a full member of SFE meaning that she has demonstrated the required skills to advise elderly and vulnerable people and has gained the Older Client Care in Practice Award.
The role holds the responsibility of running the Shropshire branch and organising seminars and networking events for SFE members and local professionals to support them in advising clients.
Carina joined FBC Manby Bowdler in 2018 and is also a panel solicitor for MENCAP and the National Autistic Society and is a full member of the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners (STEP).
Following her appointment, Carina said, “I’m proud to be selected as regional director for SFE as I appreciate the integral work that the organisation does to support and protect elderly and vulnerable people.
“SFE is a national organisation that supports older and vulnerable people across the country. Members of SFE offer independent, confidential advice that always considers the mental and physical difficulties that may affect clients.”
SFE was started in 1996 and set out to be a specialist group of lawyers that could make a difference to older and vulnerable people. It is now a nation-wide organisation with over 1,600 members.
