Recognised as the Country’s best one day agricultural show, held on the rural outskirts of Bridgnorth, Burwarton Show welcomes visitors and exhibitors from far and wide.
This year families from across the region braved the downpour of rain in wellies and raincoats to attend the 126th Show in the Society’s history.
FBC Manby Bowdler were proud to support the Show once again, sharing a stand with Berrys and EFG Harris Allday. Despite the heavy showers, over 300 visitors came to chat to our advisors and enjoy hot and cold refreshments, sandwiches and plenty of cake!
The County’s agricultural shows represent key dates in the calendar for FBC Manby Bowdler’s Agricultural and Rural Services Team, who have been long time supporters of the events.
Agricultural Business Principal Development Partner, Steven Corfield, first attended the show in the 1960’s.
“My mother had a horse in the 1950’s which one of her friends borrowed for the show jumping in the main ring. The horse was called “Rocket” and lived up to its name when it jumped over part of the crowd instead of taking a jump over a barrier”
“The Show is one of the biggest one day shows in the country, attracting twenty thousand plus visitors on occasions. The show prides itself on being a town and country show bringing together both communities and hence the stands are very much a mix of both. There are the usual animal and farming stands but also stands from colleges, car sales, the energy industry, retail crafts, carpentry and many others”
