FBC Manby Bowdler backs winner with horse-racing sponsorship
22 Aug 2019

Leading Midlands law firm FBC Manby Bowdler has agreed a three-year sponsorship deal with one of the region’s top racehorse trainers.

The company is backing Gloucestershire trainer Martin Keighley, who is based at the Condicote Stables in the heart of the Cotswolds.

FBC Manby Bowdler sales director Neil Lloyd said the deal reflected the firm’s longstanding association with

horse racing, its prominent standing in equine and rural law and its respect for the way the Keighley stables is run.

“We could not be more delighted than to be working in partnership with Martin and his tremendous team at Condicote,” said Neil.

“Martin has well over a decade of training experience, with a superb record at Cheltenham where he has trained 19 winners. He has trained more than 250 winners in total and brings passion, professionalism and polish to everything he does.

“His ethos and the way he goes about his business makes this partnership a perfect fit and we look forward to a long and successful relationship.

“As a company we have been associated with point-to-point racing at Chaddesley Corbett for many years and our agriculture and rural affairs team has been boosted by the recent appointment of two equine law specialists. We’ve also expanded into Worcestershire with our latest office at Redditch as we continue to look for new opportunities.”

The deal will see all staff at the Keighley yard supplied with FBC Manby Bowdler sponsored clothing, horses kitted out with company rugs and yard signage and horse boxes also bearing the law firm’s insignia.

Neil said there would be special joint events for owners and clients – including a hospitality day at the Cheltenham Festival Trials Day in January – and the company would benefit from promotion through the yard’s social media channels and media and TV appearances.

Martin said he was thrilled to be teaming up with FBC Manby Bowdler.

“It’s really important to us that we work with sponsors who understand our business, understand the sport and share our passion.

“FBC Manby Bowdler fit the bill perfectly with their expertise in rural and equine law, history of supporting racing and their love of what is undoubtedly the best sport in the world.”

FBC Manby Bowdler has offices across the Midlands and is committed to intelligently delivering stellar service to its customers.

Former jockey Martin and his wife Belinda launched Condicote Stables over a decade ago and have had ever-increasing success since then. The couple met whilst working for legendary jump racing trainer David ‘The Duke’ Nicholson and are based just a stone’s throw away from his former yard.
