Legal experts at FBC Manby Bowdler are celebrating after being recognised in the UK’s top independent guide for their professional work and exceptional service to clients.
The firm’s commercial litigation, family and agriculture and rural services departments were all ranked in the “top tier” of the annual Legal 500 publication, with 24 solicitors also individually recognised for their exceptional contributions.
The Legal 500 guide highlighted FBC Manby Bowdler’s commercial litigation team’s “particular expertise” and shared glowing testimonials about the “honest and clear advice” clients received, the “professional set up” and “bright solicitors” who work there.
For the second year in succession, commercial litigation specialist Guy Birkett, was picked out as a Leading Individual in his sector, with his award-winning colleague, Charlotte Clode ranked as one of the up-and-coming Next Generation partners
Sarah Baugh, who leads FBC Manby Bowdler’s agricultural and rural services team, was also identified as a Leading Individual in her field, as her team was once again ranked as one of the best in the country.
The Legal 500 Guide cited the “depth of knowledge and expertise” in FBC Manby Bowdler’s agricultural team and noted how clients were impressed by the way it had adapted during the pandemic: “The company has responded well to the restrictive working conditions of the pandemic and has still delivered on time and to a high standard”.
Kimberly Mears, from the firm’s contentious trusts and probate team, was recognised in the Guide as a Rising Star in the industry, while the family team also held its place in the top tier for another year.
Other successes included the personal injury and clinical negligence team, who moved up a tier compared to 2021 thanks to their commitment to “delivering a high-end product for their clients and getting great results”. The team’s practice head Tim Gray was given a mention in the Guide, along with key lawyers Susan Todhunter and Michael Portman-Hann.
The personal trusts, tax and probate department were a new entry into the Guide for 2022, and there are high hopes that they can go one tier higher next year.
Managing director Neil Lloyd said: “I am so proud of the team and their achievements – probably more so this year than ever before. The pandemic and numerous lockdowns have made it very challenging to deliver the high levels of service we pride ourselves on but the findings of the independent Legal 500 Guide show that we’ve managed to maintain our standards – and in some cases upped our game - and we are delighted to have earned our place as trusted advisors to so many clients across different sectors.”
FBC Manby Bowdler also received recommendations for its work in corporate and commercial, debt recovery, insolvency and corporate recovery, contentious trusts and probate, commercial property and family law.
