On the 16th September 2017, 17 adrenaline seekers from FBC Manby Bowdler LLP will be attempting to take on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge to fundraise for our corporate charities, Hope House Children’s Hospice & The Alzheimer’s Society.
The idea behind our CSR commitment is to give back to the communities that we operate in as much as possible. With bake sales, school garden replanting, marathons and lots of other whacky ventures, we are never short of ideas on how to raise money for the brilliant causes we support.
When the idea of walking 24miles across a terrain reaching 736m above sea level within 12 hours come rain or shine, we were (surprisingly) not short of volunteers! The walk will take place in Yorkshire across 3 peaks; Pen-Y-Ghent (694m), Whernside (736m) and Ingleborough (723m) on the 16th September. This challenge is definitely not a walk in the park!
The funds raised will be split between Hope House Children’s Hospice and The Alzheimer’s Society.
Hope House is a charity that provides care and support to life-limited children, young people and their families from Shropshire, Cheshire, North and Mid Wales. The services they offer include respite and end-of-life care at the hospices and/or within the family home, and support such as counselling, advocacy and the promotion of children, young people's and carers' rights.
The Alzheimer’s Society help create awareness for those who suffer with or are affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia. Any donations they receive will go to help research for a cure to these conditions and help those suffering with the illnesses and their families deal with the challenges of everyday life.
The amazing FBCMB Team taking part in the Yorkshire 3 Peaks include:
Adam Davies, Angie Manley, Ayisha Northam, Dixie Whitten, Ellesse Wilson, Fay Rebecca Stokes, Harbinder Gosal, Joseph Martin, Kate Rowley, Olivia Jones, Paul Horton, Rajvir Mangat, Ravi Basra, Samantha Roberts, Susan Todhunter, Tracey Shenton, Will Jones
Please donate if you can and spur our adventurers on! With your donations these charities can continue to fund the amazing work they carry out, day in, day out, in order to make the lives of so many people that little bit easier and happier. Please use the Just Giving link above or below. Thank you
