Angie Manley, a Senior Associate at FBC Manby Bowdler has been appointed as a full member of a prestigious forum of specialists in disputes arising from trusts and probate law.
Angie, who has been part of the Contentious Trusts and Probate Team since 2017, has been accredited with full membership of The Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS).
ACTAPS provides a forum for experts in contentious probate to support one another, exchange advice, receive training and the association also provides a cohesive voice at a national level on contentious trust and probate issues.
To gain full accreditation Angie completed two-years of study that was preceded by two years as an associate member of ACTAPS.
In order to complete the programme, Angie needed to demonstrate her skills and knowledge to act in contentious trust and probate cases by providing evidence of real-life case work, as well as showcasing three cases that were conducted before the High Court from different areas of contentious probate practice.
Of her appointment, Angie explained: “To receive full ACTAPS membership is an achievement I am hugely proud of. This recognition demonstrates to clients that they are working with someone that has the experience, insight and knowledge of dealing with a wide spectrum of contentious trust and probate cases — something that can be very reassuring for the clients that I work with on a daily basis.”
