Our expert team are able to help guide you through the processes required to ensure you comply with the Charity Commission's rules in achieving your goals.

The Charity Commission regulates and registers charities in England and Wales.
The charities team here at FBC Manby Bowdler has extensive knowledge of the regulatory and legislative framework charity trustees now have to work within and understand the unique challenges and hurdles charities face.
We have advised on the establishment of many charities and we are used to working with the Charity Commission. It may be that your charity needs assistance in navigating the registration process, or help working with the Charity Commission in relation to proposed changes to your charity’s rules or applications for a scheme to change part of your governing document, such as Cy-pres, Albermarle schemes, orders or consents.
There are certain changes to your charity’s governing document that the Charity Commission needs to approve and you will need to ask the commission to approve these changes before you can make them. We are able to assist with those initial enquiries, along with the practical steps that need to be taken by the trustees and advise on any formal applications where written consent is required from the Charity Commission.
